A Dedicated Music Teacher

All about me

I have taught extensively both in primary and secondary schools since 2002, and privately since 1991. I have self-published a book of beginner piano duets and am currently developing a tutor book series designed for KS3 beginners.  In addition to teaching I enjoy studying and most recently obtained a masters degree in Psychology of Music in Education, Performance and Well-being from the University of Sheffield. My research interests are music and emotion which will form the basis of my future PhD studies.

An Experienced Music Educator

All about lessons

All my lessons are tailor made around the individual as no two students learn in the same identical way.  I use a wide range of resources including tutor books, music theory, general musicianship, music history and composition. All these elements support a holistic learning experience.

Once a term all students are invited to perform in my informal end-of-term concert.  This provides a performance opportunity and a chance to meet fellow piano students.

CONTACT ME

Lessons are one to one either for 20, 30, 45 or 60 minutes in my Leighton Buzzard home.
