A Dedicated and Inspiring Music Teacher
A little about me
I believe piano lessons should be fun, creative and rewarding, helping children develop confidence, musical skills and a genuine enjoyment of playing.
I have taught piano privately since 1991, as well as extensively in primary and secondary schools. I use a wide variety of resources, games, technology, activities and repertoire to keep lessons engaging and tailor them to each child’s interests and learning style. Whether your child is a complete beginner, working towards an ABRSM exam or simply wants to play for pleasure, lessons are individually tailored to help them progress, achieve and most importantly, have fun!
I have self-published a book of beginner piano duets and am currently developing a tutor book series for KS3 beginners. I also hold a Master’s degree in Psychology of Music in Education, Performance and Well-being from the University of Sheffield, reflecting my interest in how music can support learning, confidence and wellbeing.

A little about lessons
Every child learns differently, so lessons are tailored to their individual needs, interests and goals. I use a wide variety of resources, activities, games, technology and repertoire to make lessons engaging and develop well-rounded musical skills.
Students are also encouraged to take part in my biannual concerts, giving them the opportunity to perform, build confidence and celebrate their progress in a friendly and supportive environment.
Lessons take place on a Casio GP-310 hybrid grand piano, combining the authentic feel and sound of a traditional grand piano with the versatility of modern technology making lessons an exciting experience for pianists at every level.
